New in V2.1.0.1
Who is On report was moved to Visitors section and number of records to show can now be
selected. The graph now correctly shows “Hour” and not “Date”. The hour display was also
changed for easier reading.
Favicon.ico is not filtered out any more when excluding images as this file is required for
the Site Bookmarked report.
“Summary report not showing” bug was fixed.
Added .jar file type
Changed grouping of JavaScript file type from page view file type to unknown file type.
Added referring site breakdown reporting.
Added page requested breakdown reporting.
Fixed rescanning bug when wrong file filter was specified.
Fixed log source ignored bug when a site profile had more than one log source specified.
Ability to import LiveStats
profiles from a LiveStats
installation.
New in V2.1.0.0
Profile Administrators were validated by the same Authentication Provider as Server
Administrators which changed from V1.14.0.0 onwards. SurfStatsLive now validates Profile
Administrators.
Versions prior to V2.1.0.0 created an Internet Explorer favorite during installation, which
pointed the URL of the SurfStatsLive service. V2.1.0.0 and onwards does not create the
favorite any more, but an item (SurfStatsLive) in the SurfStatsLive program group on the
server (Start – Programs – SurfStatsLive - SurfStatsLive).
An Optional Visitor Origin Database (based on Whois queries) is available that provides
organization/ISP information on visitor and some other reports. Note that it has to be
registered first (before creating and scanning profiles) for it to be effective. Reverse DNS
lookups also built in now, but only one IP address at a time. There is a hyperlink (Visitor
Origin Database) on the SurfStatsLive product page (at www.surfstats.com) that provides
more information. Also additional information about this in end-user help.
Separate spider reports.
Cookie based tracking if cookie information is present in log files. Please refer to the
section Visitor Activity in the end-user help for more information.
Links-Tracker application available separately only.
Some bugs fixed on top search phrases.
Request for default page that didn’t show fixed.
Country information on visitor reports fixed.
Global setup application sometimes had a problem with creating/using virtual web server.
This was caused by the Internet Explorer favorite if installing over Terminal Services.
Page title lookups – no need to stop and start SurfStatsLive Merging Service after it is
globally enabled.
This version requires a complete reinstallation. Before installing decide first on the Visitor
Origin Database, if you want to use it. Log in with username Sample1, password Sample1
and SurfStatsLive user type to see what it offers.
