This Quick Installation Guide is intended to serve as documentation to do a quick installation of
the SurfStatsLive Reporting Service. It is however highly recommended to read the complete
Setup and Administration Guide to gain a thorough understanding of the product. It is critical
to read the Background Information and Important After Installation Issues sections for a
successful installation.
Quick Server Setup
The easiest setup method is as follows:
1. Start the setup.exe program.
2. The SurfStatsLive Global Setup will run at the end of the setup.
3. Select SuftStatsLive as the User Authentication Provider.
4. Specify a username, password and confirm password that you want
to use to log in to SurfStatsLive.
5. Set up the SurfStatsLive Web Server in the Web Server tab.
6. Exit the SurfStatsLive Global Setup.
7. Start SurfStatsLive by selecting Start - Programs - SurfStatsLive -
SurfStatsLive.
8. Login using the username and password defined in (4) as well as
selecting Server Administrator.
9. Now you can set up your sites and passwords for other users to
login.
10. Start the SurfStatsLive Merging Service from the Options tab.

Background Information
The SurfStatsLive Reporting Service is installed on a Windows 2000/2003 server computer
with Internet Information Services and Internet Explorer installed. You must have service pack
3 or later installed on Windows 2000 servers.
The Internet Services Manager tool in Windows is used to administer Virtual Web Servers on
